Celtic, Medieval and Tudor Wall Hangings in 1/12 Needlepoint (Paperback)  by Sandra Whitehead (Author) Here, taken from real sources, are dramatic wall hangings featuring jousting knights, minstrels, hunting scenes, monks, Celtic birds and knots, an Elizabethan panel, and Tudor gardens and florals.

From Library Journal
Makers of doll house textiles often have problems doing authentic detail in the 1/12 scale needed to fit. Both of these books address this concern, providing accessories 8″ on a side or smaller charted for needlepoint at 24 stitches to the inch. The McNaughtons’ work, a sequel to their Making Miniature Oriental Rugs & Carpets, has a new selection of tiny rugs with fantastic detail. There appears to be no simplification of design from the full-size originals. Whitehead’s wall hangings are original designs based on historic motifs. Both books are charted in full color, with the Whitehead book having additional black-and-white charts. The oriental rug charts are keyed to Appleton’s crewel wool, and the wall hangings are keyed to DMC and Anchor cotton floss. Both books are excellent additions to collections catering to miniaturists and needleworkers. Copyright 2001 Reed Business Information, Inc.
